December 2007 - CAPE HORN EXPEDITION UPDATE - Due to some of the most intense weather we have ever encountered (winds at more than 150km an hour), we postponed our paddling expedition for a trekking circuit in Torres Del Paine. After several discussions and gathering information from the highest authorities of the Armada, Chilean Navy, and numerous Patagonian local outdoor adventurers, we decided to leave Cape Horn for a winter paddle, hopefully in 2009. Check out the expedition pages for details... LH and KP

November 2007 - CAPE HORN, CHILE - We're off again! This time, Kim and Lachie together again and to Cape Horn, Chile. Yes, the same Cape Horn that you've heard about! The very bottom of South America. Quite often considered one of the wildest pieces of water on the planet. Stay tuned for more stories and photos as they happen... LH and KP

September 2006 - CYCLING CHINA UPDATE - A few days ago, we ended a trip of 46 days into the mountains and along the roads of Yunnan and Sichuan Provinces, China. I never expected the cobblestone roads, the altitudes of 4870m, the 70km climbs or the Tibetan culture and hospitality that we were met with. Experiencing nomads churning their milk into butter inside their tents, the dung fires that produce a thick memorable smoke, the remote and vast landscape, abundance of flowers, the rivers, yaks and vultures... Busy highway roads with truck horns blowing out my eardrums, a nomadic jam session at 4500m, potholes and falling from my bike. The smiles, kindness and genuine pleasure these people share in their hospitality... This adventure was full of many more experiences than I ever imagined. The hail storms, temples and local cultures. 2340km and 33343m of vertical climbing. I am still not completely converted as a cyclist, but it really is a great form of travel to experience a culture, see a country and live a very stimulating lifestyle!! The smiles are everlasting...
